After install Lanseal ResQ card, it could not recover data in Windows OS. Or it display “ Missing User-ROM?” for ResQPro ST.

Answer:

	This problem is that you forget to install the drivers for Lanseal ResQ card. Please run setup.exe before install the hardware ResQ card.
	If the computer system is only go on rebooting, please refer to Question No.6

Directly enter operating system when starting computer after Lanseal ResQ card has been plugged into empty PCI slot. Lanseal ResQ card Installation Menu does not appear as if there were no this card in computer system.

Answer:

	Make sure you plugged the card in correct direction. Or try another empty PCI slot in case of this PCI slot is bad.
	Start computer, press DEL key to enter CMOS Setup program, then enable Boot from LAN/Network in BIOS FEATURES SETUP and set the Boot Sequence as LAN/ZIP if existing, or enable Boot Other Device item if there is one.
	If failed, please refer to Question No.4

After start computer, the system is halted at a black screen with a cursor blinking on the left top of screen. Or display message Failed to load Lanseal ResQ card, can not enter operating system.

Answer:

	Disable the Virus Warning item in CMOS Setup program.
	It is possible that there are active computer viruses in the booting area of your hard disk. Please boot your computer from a clean bootable floppy disk or CD, then run anti-virus program to get rid of all virus in your computer system. After these steps, please install Lanseal ResQ card again.

Computer system can not enter OS normally when start computer after the Lanseal ResQ card is plugged into PCI slot. No display of Installation Menu and system is halted, display broken picture of computer system, restart computer continuously or display message Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press Enter.

Answer:

	These troubles are possible due to the compatibility of Lanseal ResQ card. Lanseal ResQ card has four built-in loading methods in order to be fit for different computer mainboards. As soon as the physical memory checking is finished, please keep pressing the key combination Alt+Shift+1 or ALT+Shift+2 or ALT+Shift+3 or ALT+Shift+4 to make the system halted. At this time, you have adjusted the built-in loading method of Lanseal ResQ card. Restart your computer to check whether the trouble has disappeared. If not, continue to test other key combinations.
	For ResQPro series, it has 2 hardware switches. By combination of these 2 switches, you can adjust the I/O address same as Alt+1, Alt+2, Alt+3 and Alt+4.
	If all of these four loading methods failed, and the computer become normal again after you pull Lanseal ResQ card out from PCI slot, please inform our technical supporter about some detailed information of your computer, including the type of motherboard, VGA adapter and hard disk. We'll help you solve this trouble as soon as possible.

Forget the administrator’s password after installation of Lanseal ResQ card.

Answer:

	Power off the computer, pull Lanseal ResQ card out from PCI slot. Then enter pure DOS mode to run program Remove.exe in the floppy disk. (sealed with Lanseal ResQ card. You can also download it from http://www.lanseal.com After uninstallation, you are able to reinstall Lanseal ResQ card with default password.
	If your OS is Windows 95/98, restart your computer and press F8 key to enter the Startup Menu. Select Command prompt only to enter DOS mode. (If your OS is WindowsME/NT/2000/XP, you must use the bootable floppy disk created by the OS to enter corresponding pure DOS mode.)

Lanseal ResQ card can be installed normally, but after Shortcut Operation screen, computer system will jump back to the Installation Menu of Lanseal ResQ card. Install again and restart computer, the same problem still exists.

Answer:

This caused by the fragmentary information of other type of recovery card or of other old version that used to be installed on your computer. Please power off your computer and pull out the Lanseal ResQ card from PCI slot. Then run Remove.exe in the floppy disk. (Sealed with Lanseal ResQ card. Or you can also download this program from our website.) in pure DOS mode. Reinstall the Lanseal ResQ card step by step.

Information:

If your OS is WindowsME/NT/2000/XP, you must use the bootable floppy disk created by the OS to enter corresponding pure DOS mode. And then you are able to run Remove.exe to uninstall all kinds of recovery card information in HDD.

During the installation of Lanseal ResQ card, the message Unsupported FAT was detected or Illegal FAT was detected, can not load Lanseal ResQ card. appears on the screen and can not continue installation.

Answer:

This message indicates that there are some errors in booting sector of your hard disk. It maybe caused by the following reasons:

	There is physical damage in your hard disk, please run scandisk program to check it. Please change your hard disk if there are some bad sectors.
	Too many operating system have been installed on your hard disk, thus conflicts appears from them.
	You have installed operating system by GHOST or other BACKUP programs.
	You have installed Multiboot program (E.g. Boot Manager.)
	Please repartition and format your hard disk (If necessary, run low level format program.) and then install operating system in a normal way. After that, install Lanseal ResQ card again.

Information:

Remember to backup your important data in the hard disk before you repartition your hard disk.

about Winctrl Program

If I close WinCtrl program in OS, hotkey Ctrl+Alt+Home will be unable to work. How can I run it again?

Answer:

You can find Lanseal WinCtrl program the folder-- C:\program files\Lanseal\winctrl.exe, and then double-click winctrl.exe to run Lanseal WinCtrl program, then you can call this program by pressing hotkey Ctrl + Alt + Home.

In the General Tab, it displayed that the maxim buffer size is very small, how can I get the maxim buffer size 5G?

Answer:

Before install Lanseal ResQ card, you are strongly recommended to defrag HDD data in all partitions. The buffer area should be continuous empty area. Moreover, there should be no data remained at the end of partition. Please defrag data of E:,D:,C: partition. After defragmenter, install Lanseal ResQ card again to achieve the maxim buffer.

about Netclone function

I have other chipset Lancard but not RLT8139 series, how to use netclone function?

Answer:

You should change your Lancard to RLT8139 series. Then you can use this netclone function. We had tested a lot of different Lancards, only RLT 8139 series can support netclone very well.

I bought a lot of new computers, but they have only empty hard disk. How to use netclone function to distribute partition and HDD data from server to empty client HDD?

Answer:

Prepare a mother hard disk as server computer.

Install NetResQ card into this server computer.

Restart server computer and enter Main menu of NetResQ card by Home key when rebooting,

Select Transmit Data and enter “Collecting Clients” screen.

Install NetResQ card into every client. Select “Receive Data” and connect the server .

Note:

	You should install the client one bye one in sequence. The network node will increase one by one. This sequence is the Computer ID auto assignment sequence as well.
	Sometimes, for some main boards, the NetResQ card can not find the empty HDD in client computer. Please use bootable FDD or CD to enter DOS status and input command A:\>Fdisk/MBR Then restart computer, the NetResQ card will find the empty HDD.

After all clients connect to server, you can select to transmit all partition data ( Select all check-box of partitions) in Server computer.

When I run netclone function, the netclone speed is very slow and some clients get offline or overtime during data transmission. How to get higher speed?

Answer:

From our experenence, the netclone speed had ever been reported from 60M/Min to 530M/Min. Basically, the low speed is from the bad network environment. But the real situation is not so simple. The speed of netclone is related to all network components deeply. The switch, hub, RJ45 socket, cable, Lancard and even the main board all can affect the performance of netclone. In general, you can do following steps to solve problem:

1	Disconnect the internet access from your local area network, Sometimes, in some network environment, the internet link will send some packet to all connected computers. It will deeply affect the speed of netclone.
2	Disconnect different switches and hubs when you run netclone. Some switches and hubs can get high netclone speed when they work independently. But can not work well when they are stacked.
3	Change your cable and RJ45 connectors if they have no good performance.
4	Change your Lancard into NetResQ card which can make sure to provide high netclone speed from lancard.
5	Change your mainboard to another model so as to check whether your main board can support netclone very well.

For Win9X/ME, after netclone, it displays in Device Manager that the lancard is working normally. But it can not work well actually. What’s the trouble?

Answer:

	It is frequent for us to find such problem in Win9X/ME system. Sometimes, if we double click Network Neighborhood, It will display “Can not browse network”. In this case, you have to configure the Lancard properties again to let it work normally. This is unstability of OS.
	You should delete the existed Lancard from Device Manager. Then restart computer and install the drivers for Lancard again. For NetResQ, all Microsoft OS Installation CD include its drivers. No need additional FDD or drivers CD.

For WinNT/2K/XP/2003, how can I assign different computer ID (Computer Name, IP address) to clients automatically?

Answer:

Before netclone, you should enter server OS to run tool program IPConfig.exe. This program will prepare the auto assigned computer ID information to all clients. will work after you You can find this program in CD with shipment or you can download it from our website.

Please run IPConfig.exe in following steps:

Click IPConfig.exe, it will display following screen.

If your computer system has not only 1 Lancard, you must confirm the connection name for NetResQ card. Then it can be used for netclone function to assign computer ID automatically.

Input network connection name. Press OK button.

Please check your network subnet mask and input it here.

Input network subnet mask. Press OK button. Then restart your computer to enter Main menu of ResQ card by Home key when rebooting.

Note: If you missed to enter ResQ main menu but to enter OS, you must run IPConfig.exe again before redo netclone function.

After all clients finish netclone and restart to enter OS, it will give error message “Repeat IP address or computer name”. Just wait a minute, the computer will configure the computer ID by itself and restart automatically in 1 minute. After that, the computer can work well in OS with appointed computer ID.
